April 2nd, 2012

Nominations have been released for the Group 1 Storm Queen Stakes, which is scheduled to run at Rosehill Racecourse this Saturday April 7, 2012.

The 2012 Storm Queen Stakes, which is also known as the 2012 Vinery Stud Stakes, has attracted just seven nominations.

Amongst the nominations is Mosheen, who has won three of her four race starts this campaign.

Mosheen won the Group 1 Australian Guineas two starts back by an incredible three lengths before winning the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas at her last start.

The three-year-old filly has won six of her 13 race starts and has earned more than $2.4 million in prize money.

Also included in the 2012 Storm Queen Stakes nominations is Streama, who finished fifth in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic last start.

Streama has come back to her own age group in the 2012 Storm Queen Stakes after being beaten when facing the older mares in the Coolmore.

The Stratum filly has won five of her 11 race starts, including the Group 2 Surround Stakes second-up this autumn carnival.

Streama, who is trained by Guy Walter at Warwick Farm, has so far earned more than $700,000 in prize money.
